Gary Graver – How to Undress in Front of Your Man (1970)
Synopsis: After an evening out, a skinny hippie chick attempts to get her man in the mood for love. But he’s just too tired. She proceeds to use all her sexiest moves (even showing him her “tunnel of love” and making her “fun zone” more attractive with good hygiene), hoping to awaken the beast. When all else fails, she resorts to stroking his giant cock. This finally gets his attention!
Note: This is the best quality print of this film that is currently available. It was ripped from a Something Weird Video DVD-R short film compilation and, like many of SWV’s releases, it is VHS quality.
How to Undress in Front of Your Man is notable for being one of the first films that was directed by Orson Welles’ protege Gary Graver. Among other things, Graver worked as the cinematographer on Welles’ legendary unfinished final work The Other Side of the Wind, which he has been trying to get finished and released for decades. Graver is also known for directing inordinately artful porn flicks like 3 A.M.(1975), which Welles was responsible for editing part of.
Somewhat curiously, How to Undress in Front of Your Man utilizes part of Nina Rota’s score from Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2.

Terrific porn short subject masquerading as “educational”

Pornography presented in the guise of “education” is the oldest trick in the book, but this cute short film is a wonderful example of providing entertainment.
I’ve been catching up with several Gary Graver movies of late, and was pleasantly surprised to see this was one of his, too, hiding behind the on-screen credit to a fictitious name of Vodka Gimlet spelled backwards. It’s been issued as a welcome finale amongst lesser shorts on Something Weird’s recently issued compilation TWISTED SEX 26.
The heroine voices over (shot MOS) helpful narration about how a woman can get her man to achieve an erection after he’s had too much to drink. Carol Vaughn is the very trim but shapely leading lady, who strips arousingly, and the purple prose writing enhances the effect.
Graver delivers highest-quality soft-X content for the finale, as she gives the sleepy guy a fabulous hand job, eliciting an impressive erection and simulated sex. Nino Rota’s familiar circus score for the finale of Fellini’s “8-1/2” plays incongruously on the soundtrack, but it is Graver’s erotic visuals that are memorable here.
