Max Pécas – Les branchés à Saint-Tropez AKA The Fashioned in Saint-Tropez (1983)
If it were not Max Pécas it would be an average youth romantic movie with some elements of crime comedy, but it is Max Pécas. So, all other genres may be passed in the lovely name of erotic. Moreover, it’s one of the most successful Max Pécas’ films: it even engendered a so-called “trilogie tropézienne” (with “Deux enfoirés à Saint-Tropez”, 1986, and “On se calme et on boit frais à Saint-Tropez”, 1987, which were his two last films). Well, there is even some plot in “Les branchés à Saint-Tropez”: two young couples arrive at Saint-Tropez and settle on the villa of father of one girl’s ex-. But this father proves to be a counterfeiter, and there is even a police auto-moto-chase in the final of film… Well, who will watch the Max Pécas’ movie for the plot? The genuine subject is a sun, a nudity and a very French joy of life.
